Waking up with a hangover is not the best, especially after 4 hours of sleep.
Today has been a long and hard day, since my body was in compromise due to last night’s departure. I worked 10 hours in a row to end up devastated and decided to do my walk consciously after finishing my shift.
I walked down the street until I reached Calton Hill, where I enjoyed the scenery and the sunlight covered by clouds. The place was full of tourists because of the time of year and I was looking for a friend who wasn’t there.
I found some lilac flowers that caught my attention the other day and as I bent down to take a picture I dropped to the ground. I decided to do 15 minutes of meditation with my back against the ground to somehow feel more rooted. It worked. I have a lot on my mind as I have met new people and my world is opening up pretty fast, so my mind lacks adaptation work to do.
Interestingly, the only thing that such mental activity is affecting the quality of my meditations. Nor exaggeratedly, at the end of the 15-minute meditation I felt very well and at peace.
I finished my walk by directing my steps towards my house where I was talking and trying to set up a shelf all afternoon.
Now I realize that neither my brain nor my body can do enough and it is time to finally sleep. I did the other 15 minutes a while back, with Deva Premal’s Moola Mantra.
I recommend it because she has a beautiful voice and a good diction that makes mantras easy to identify and repeat.
