It was a day of strong dualism.
I woke up tired but restless. I did my 30min meditation before work, but lots of thoughts carried me away again. I ran to work, finished work, ran to buy some stationery for work, ran back to get changed, ran to meet my Reiki teacher for a late lunch.
I had a beautiful, peaceful and honest meeting with my Reiki teacher, a wonderful Scottish woman with great patience and great insights, who helped me sooth my doubts about my last Reiki experiences. Simply her listening encouraged me a lot, my mood quiet once again.
I went for a walk to Calton Hill and I sat on my favourite stone observing the landscape. Today was perfect for this exercise, as the air was clear and all the shapes neat and sharp. The shadows were solid, and very still, and they were not melting with the light in liquid greys, like they can do. They were black and made of their own separate substance. Looking around I saw a white butterfly hanging around, peaceful. Immediately before Susana and another friend joined me up there, I saw 3 little birds flying excitedly around. It was exciting, as our friend Mireia just comes back from a long trip to Mexico.
Going back I started running again, ran back to work to help for an extra job, ran to see a friend who I don’t see often and quickly catch up… Feeling restless again. I went to Arthur’s Seat and repeated the conscious walk and observation. This time birds were attracting my attention: 2 magpies were circling around the same tree, then alternately moved to the cliffs behind it. When they did, 2 crows took their place, exchanging position for a good 5 minutes. I kept wandering for a while and went up one of the little hills, sitting on the rock enjoying the sun, with 2 big yellow butterflies circling around me.
Couples, couples, couples (opposites?)
It made me feel alone, but quiet again.
Back home now, I did some extra meditation. Since everything was double today, it would have been weird not to close the circle.
