Slow start: I was working early and I was too lazy for the morning meditation (also having had a nightmare last night, which I can’t remember). I paid it being tired for the whole morning shift. Forcing myself to morning meditation can really change my day.
During my break I walked up to Calton Hill, enjoying the clear horizon, with a beautiful light blue as predominant colour for the whole day. On my stone I meditated 15 minutes, trying to focus on the noise of the people outside and expand my mind on the outside world and away from daydreaming. It was nice and helpful, giving my brain some rest.
After more work a friend visited and invited me for a walk, which I happily repeated. We went up through a different road, but we got right there for the sunset. The tourists, especially from east Asia, were all very cute, I could see the enthusiasm in their eyes, filling them up with such a beautiful view and taking all sorts of photos. I had to take a photo of my favourite tourist while he was focusing on the Edinbrugh sunset. I found the scene full of tenderness and I went back home with more love for people and their ability to be amazed by simple, but powerful things. Which we should use more often.
I just did 15 minutes meditation, with a very talkative brain but several good moments in which I could just put the noise in the background. The throat chakra tune online helped out in the process. Ready for bed now, I will give myself Reiki before sleep trying to avoid other nightmares.
