We have reached a point in this society where it seems that if you are not producing (money, knowledge, fun, pictures, or memorable days) you are basically wasting your time, wasting life. It seems that it is necessary to fill the whole space of the day, an obligation not to fall into boredom. Being surrounded by so many stimuli, information and people makes it inconceivable to feel that we have nothing to do; in fact, this is considered a waste of time.

Well, the grey day is a routine to claim the right of the human being to waste time, to do nothing useful. To be bored as an oyster in a fish tank, and to feel proud of it, because at the end of the day grey is like any other color and it is necessary that it exists! The percentages are the same, just like the yellow day and the lilac day, but in this color what we have to train is the ability to allow ourselves to stop, to rest from the activity, to leave our goals and purposes aside and to accept boredom as something essential in our lives. Many people are suffering from boredom in these early 2020’s quarantines because they have spent their whole lives running away from it, this situation is facing them with disastrous, and sometimes ridiculous and painful, results. We must realize that if we do not allow our being to stop, rest our ideas or thoughts, and become BORED, we will burn out of life more quickly; our creativity and motivation will surely be negatively affected. Funny and exciting moments will seem less so as we will see them as a prevailing need and not as something spontaneous, beautiful, and unique.

Having said that, life has many colors, here we have chosen 13, gray is only one of themYou decide if you want to have a gray life or if you decide to give more colors to life, it is up to you to decide.
